Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) is a multiple choroid vascular diseases in colored people and so on Asian, higher incidence in our country. Indocyanine green angiography showed a polypoid expansion of choroid blood vessels is recognized a gold standard for diagnosis of PCV.Always, PCV was seen as a subtype of wet age-related macular degeneration.But with the development of medicine, the pathogenesis of PCV arises controversy. PCV is an independent disease or subtypes of age-related macular degeneration is still no unified standard, PCV clinical diagnosis, optimal treatment options and prognosis is different from wet age-related macular degeneration. In this paper, the PCV clinical characteristics, imaging examination and clinical aspects is included. Although PCV pathogenesis is unclear, we believe that through our unremitting efforts,the diagnosis and understanding of PCV pathogenesis will improve.
