Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect of high ligation of great saphenous vein plus microwave ablation combined with foam sclerotherapy on varicose veins of lower extremities. Methods From December 2016 to December 2018, 100 patients with varicose veins of lower extremities were randomly divided into conventional treatment group (50 cases) and combined treatment group (50 cases) by random number table. The conventional treatment group was treated with traditional surgery, and the combined treatment group was treated with high ligation of great saphenous vein plus intracavitary microwave ablation combined with foam sclerotherapy. The operation time, hospitalization time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative complications, and therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups. Results The combined treatment group showed less operation time, hospitalization time, and intraoperative blood loss than the conventional treatment group (P<0.05).The incidence rate of postoperative complications in the combined treatment group (4.00%) was lower than that in the conventional treatment group (24.00%, P<0.05).The total effective rate in the combined treatment group (98.00%) was higher than that in the conventional treatment group (82.00%, P<0.05).Conclusion High ligation of great saphenous vein plus endovenous microwave ablation combined with foam sclerotherapy is effective in the treatment of varicose veins of lower extremities, with fewer postoperative complications, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
