Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of triamcinolone gelatin sponge packing in patients with nasal endoscopic surgery for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with nasal endoscopic surgery for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps from April 2016 to October 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into control group (conventional treatment, 43 cases) and observation group (triamcinolone gelatin sponge packing, 43 cases) according to postoperative treatment. The curative effects, bleeding volume, treatment time, pain degree after treatment for 1h, and postoperative adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe treatment effective rate of the observation group (97.67%) was higher than that of the control group (81.40%) (P<0.05).The bleeding volume and the treatment time of the observation group were less than those of the control group (P<0.05).After treatment for 1h, the pain degree of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).The incidence rate of postoperative adverse reactions in the observation group (2.33%) was lower than that in the control group (18.60%) (P<0.05).Conclusion Triamcinolone gelatin sponge packing for patients with nasal endoscopic surgery for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps can reduce bleeding volume, shorten treatment time, and produce slight pain, which is relatively safe.
