Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of vacuum sealing drainage combined with gluteus maximus pedicled myocutaneous flap on promoting the healing of bedsore wounds in patients. Methods A total of 60 cases of sacrococcygeal bedsore and skin and soft tissue defects were recruited in the study from June 2020 to March 2023. They were divided into two groups according to different treatment schemes: routine group (n=30) and study group (n=30). The routine group received repair treatment of the upper gluteus maximus myocutaneous flap, and the study group received VSD combined with gluteus maximus pedicled myocutaneous flap treatment. Wound healing, occurrence of postoperative infections, wound healing time, number of dressing changes, use time of antibiotics, and length of hospital stay were recored of the two groups. Results Compared with the routine group, the study group had a higher grade A healing rate, less dressing changes, and shorter healing time, use time of anitbiotics, and length of hospital stay (P<0.05). Conclusion In the repair of bedsore wounds, VSD combined with pedicled myocutaneous flap of gluteus maximus can elevate healing quality, facilitate wound recovery, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
