Objective To investigate the effect of quality control circle activities on reducing the failure rate of venous blood collection in patients.Methods We established a quality control circle and carried out an activity themed on "reducing the failure rate of venous blood collection in patients" by PDCA circulation to understand the status quo, set goals, analyze causes, and formulate countermeasures.Results After implementing the quality control circle activity, the failure rate of venous blood collection in patients was effectively reduced from 9.92 % to 2.58 %, reaching the target value of 2.6%.Conclusion The quality control circle activity could improve the quality and reduce the failure rate of venous blood collection.
