Progress on clinical application of dual-source CT to calculus composition analysis

Abstract

Urinary stones are a common disease in urology,and determining calculus composition is very important for clinical diagnosis.Many scholars have studied the accurate composition of calculi by dual-source dual-energy CT technology.The recent third-generation dual-source CT can further study urinary components.At present, most domestic studies of urinary calculi stay in qualitative analyses, and overseas studies have begun quantitative analyses.This article reviewed the research progress on three generations of dual-source CT in the analysis of urinary calculi, in order to further investigate the accuracy of the third-generation dual-source CT for the quantitative analysis of calculus composition.
