Abstract: Objective At present, the research on medical consumables mainly is from a macro perspective. Focusing on the medical reform of consumables, this study analyzed the implementation of current medical consumables reform policy through a systematic policy evaluation theory. Methods Based on the policy evaluation theory, game theory, and information asymmetry, the evaluation elements and interview contents of the study were obtained after reviewing the reform policy of medical consumables, analyzing the main body of medical consumables, and expert discussion, which formed an evaluation. Results The evaluation results were analyzed from the perspective of policy evaluation and used to discuss how to implement the original intention of medical reform in public hospitals in the new round of medical consumable reform. At the same time, we should keep the public welfare and achieve a balance in our own development and put forward relevant suggestions. Conclusion While the public hospitals are implementing and promoting the reform of medical consumables is being carried out in public hospitals, all parties of medical consumables should further cooperate to promote the overall medical and health system reform.
