Abstract: Objectives To introduce the surgical treatment experience of congenital constriction band syndrome. Methods From July 2013 to November 2018, nine children with congenital constriction band syndrome adopted stage-one surgical removal of the band and Z-plasty, among which two cases of lower leg band combined with talipes equinovarus additionally received extensive soft tissue release of talipes equinovarus and tendon transfer operation based on Ponseti plaster therapy one year later. Results All the surgical incisions of the nine cases healed well, no flap necrosis occurred, and the annular constricted narrow bands were fully released. The surgical effects for the two cases of lower leg band combined with talipes equinovarus were satisfactory without recurrence. Conclusion Stage-one surgical removal of the band and release of the soft tissue will not lead to necrosis of the skin flap, and can obtain a satisfactory appearance. Extensive soft tissue release and tendon transfer of talipes equinovarus based on Ponseti plaster treatment is an excellent surgical method for the treatment of constriction band combined with talipes equinovarus.
