Abstract: Objective To discuss how to further strengthen the standardized management of surgical consumables, deepen hospital cost accounting, ensure the efficient and safe development of medical work, and establish and improve the scientific management service system centered on social and economic benefits. Methods A standardized and refined management of surgical consumables was conducted according to different departments and diseases. The consumables used in surgeries were divided into therapeutic consumables and auxiliary consumables. A performance appraisal system for standardized management of surgical consumables was formulated. Results Through the management and control of performance appraisal, surgical consumables were used rationally. Conclusion Strengthening the performance appraisal of the use of surgical consumables, especially the use of clinical auxiliary consumables, is helpful to standardize the management of surgical consumables, reasonably reduce medical costs, and ensure the efficient and safe development of medical work.
