Abstract

Abstract: Peripheral vascular diseases seriously affect the quality of life. The relatively mature technology of traditional stents still has some defects, while the emergence of biodegradable stents using various materials with different characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and development progresses brings new opportunities. In this paper, the characteristics, current status, and challenges of biodegradable stents were analyzed in order to conduct in-depth research in multiple aspects in the future and better apply them in the treatment of peripheral vascular diseases.
