Abstract: Objective To investigate the impact of applying a home-based remote rehabilitation training program on the rehabilitation of patients with intertrochanteric fractures of the femur. Methods A total of 62 patients with intertrochanteric fractures of the femur at our hospital from August 2023 to August 2025 were selected and randomly divided into a conventional group (n=31) and a remote group (n=31) by the random number table method. The conventional group received routine home rehabilitation education and training intervention, while the remote group received intervention based on a home remote rehabilitation training plan. The emotional state [Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) scores], hip joint function [Harris Hip Joint Syetem (HSS) score], and daily living ability [Barthel index (BI) score] of the two groups were compared. Results Three months after intervention, the remote group had lower HAMA and HAMD scores (P<0.05) and higher HSS and BI scores (P<0.05) than the conventional group. Conclusion For patients with intertrochanteric fractures of the femur, the application of home-based remote rehabilitation training programs is more helpful in improving their emotional state, hip joint function, and daily living abilities, achieving more ideal rehabilitation results.
