Abstract: Objective To elevate the safety of a airway obstructed patient caused by huge substernal goiter in anesthesia induction and tracheal intubation with a novel endoscopic nasal mask. Methods A novel endoscopic nasal mask was used in the process of awake oral fiberoptic bronchoscopy guided tracheal intubation. Results The first attempt of tracheal intubation was successful under the guide of bronchoscope without oxygen saturation decrease, cough and other adverse reactions. Conlcusion The novel endoscopic nasal mask could enhance patient safety in difficult airway intubation and with great clinical application value.
