Abstract: Objective To analyze the clinical effect of humanistic care on mental state and quality of life of patients after gallstone surgery.Methods A total of 112 patients underwent gallstone surgery from March 2017 to July 2018 were selected and randomly assigned to a control group and a study group, with 56 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional nursing; the study group was additionally given humanistic care.The mental state and quality of life were evaluated.Results Before intervention, the anxiety and depression scores between the two groups were not significantly different; after intervention, the scores in the study group were lower than the scores in the control group (P<0.05).Before intervention, the score of quality of life between the two groups were not significantly different; after intervention, the score in the study group was higher than the score in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Humanistic care is of great clinical importance for patients undergoing gallstone surgery because it can efficiently improve patients’ mental state, therapeutic effect, and quality of life.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
