Abstract: Because of the anatomical position, surgeons generally need to remove the surrounding organs of pancreas when doing the traditional pancreatectomy (including pancreaticoduodenectomy, distal pancreatectomy and spleen resection, etc.with much trauma, high mortality and morbidity after operation. With the development of imaging diagnostic techniques, more and more benign or low-grade maglignant pancreatic tumor can be early diagnosed.Reduction of operation trauma becomes the research direction of surgeons.Organ-preserving pancreatectomy (OPP) was developed accordingly. This paper reviews main OPP operations such as duodenum-preserving pancreatic head resection, central pancreatectomy and spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy.
