Abstract: Objective To design a smart digital management platform for consumables, which can achieve effective integration and collaboration among internal and external systems [including the Hospital Information System （HIS）, Shanghai Sunshine Procurement Platform, intelligent equipment, Supply, Processing, and Distribution（SPD） manufacturers, and clinical departments], and effectively realize functions such as application, procurement, distribution, acceptance, inventory entry and exit, and supervision of consumables, as well as data collection, organization, statistics, and utilization. This is to achieve hospital refined management and reduce operating costs. Methods By analyzing the current situation and demands of hospital material management, and based on the division of hospital functional departments and internal control management system, the system module functions and business processes were designed and described in detail. Results and Conclusion A smart digital management platform for consumables was developed, and effectively achieved full-process traceability management for consumables from application, procurement, distribution, acceptance, inventory entry and exit, use, and supervision throughout the hospital internal and external processes.
