Abstract: Delirium is a common complication after cardiac surgery, with an increasing incidence as aging of population nowadays. Delirium results in longer hospital stay and is associated with other complications, which might confer negative effects on the outcome. In this review, we summarize recent development of diagnosis methods, incidence, potential risk factors, intervention and outcome in this specific filed.
