Abstract: Gap junction intercellular communication （GJIC) ，mediated by gap junction, is the most directly way to exchange information. Materials , small molecules between two adjacent cells via gap junction communicating each other. Intraventricular hemorrhage injury, ischemic cerebral injury, cerebral trauma and neurodegenerative diseases can lead to central nervous system injury. Cognitive dysfunction is one of the common manifestations after the cerebral injury.With the recent development in molecular biological and electrophysiological study, more and more show that gap junction communication is involved in the process of cognitive dysfunction .
