Abstract: Objective To explore the cost control of un-priced medical consumables for operation rooms, improve the efficiency of hospital operation, and provide ideas for relevant management.Methods The quantity and structure of un-priced medical consumables for operation rooms of 2012-2016 were analyzed, and clinical practices were also considered.Results The surgical energy related items accounted for the largest part in the un-priced medical consumables for operation rooms, and the consumption of the anti-corrosive and cleaning items increased by 87.73% within the 5 years.Conclusion The un-priced medical consumables are basically low-cost items, which are often overlooked; however, their various types and huge quantity put big cost pressures on the hospital.Therefore, measures should be taken to enhance the awareness of medical staff regarding cost control, eliminate waste, and effectively control the excessive growth of such items.
