Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of laparoscopic hernia repair on inguinal hernia. Methods A total of 171 patients with inguinal hernia who received surgical treatment in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were divided into traditional surgery group (56 cases) and laparoscopic group (115 cases) according to operation methods, and their surgical effects were compared. Results The laparoscopic group had longer operational time, less bleeding amount, lower VAS score at 1 day after surgery, shorter recovery time and hospitalization time, and decreased postoperative complications and half-year hernia recurrence rate than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic hernia repair for inguinal hernia is safe and effective, with less bleeding amount, lighter postoperational pain, quicker postoperative recovery, and smaller postoperative complication rate and recurrence rate, despite of longer operation time.
