Analysis on factors affecting urinary incontinence in postpartum women

Abstract: Urinary incontinence is a common chronic disease in gynecology and has gained increasing attention with the improvement of women’s social status. According to relevant statistics, the incidence rate of postpartum urinary incontinence is 36.4%. Studies have shown that the risk of urinary incontinence is 4 times higher for those who had urinary incontinene during pregnancy and puerperium than for normal women. In this paper, the causes of postpartum urinary incontinence were reviewed, and the factors of postpartum urinary incontinence were summarized and analyzed, aiming to guide future prenatal and postnatal education and rehabilitation and to consequently prevent postpartum urinary incontinence.
