Abstract: Objective To study the nursing interventions using postpartum balloon for dangerous placenta previa patients with cesarean section. Methods A total of 78 pregnant women with dangerous placenta previa who underwent postpartum balloon treatment during cesarean section from March 2016 to December 2018 in our hospital were selected and randomly assigned to two groups, 39 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional nursing; and the research group was additionally given comprehensive nursing interventions. The clinical indicators, postpartum complication rate, anxiety and depression scores, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with control group, the research group had shorter operation time and indwelling time of balloon, and lower postpartum bleeding volume (P<0.05).The complication rates in the research group and the control group were 2.56% and 12.82%, respectively (P<0.05).Before intervention, the anxiety and depression scores between the two groups were not significantly different; after intervention, the score in the research group were lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction rates in the research group and control group were 97.44% and 84.62%, respectively (P<0.05).Conclusion Postpartum balloon is ideal for the treatment of dangerous placenta previa.Through combining comprehensive nursing interventions, the operation time, postpartum bleeding volume, and complication rate are reduced, and nursing satisfaction is increased, indicating that the combined method is worthy of clinical application.
