Abstract: Objective To assess the effect of laparoscopic surgery in patients with colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 86 patients with colorectal cancer admitted from May 2017 to May 2018 were selected, and divided into two groups by using random number table, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was given open surgery, while the observation group was treated with laparoscopic surgery.Immune function and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results After operation, the levels of immune function indices of the two groups showed desceasing trends, but the levels of the observation group showed smaller fluctuations than those of control group, and the incidence rate of complications in the observation group was also lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery has advantages such as minimal trauma, low risk, and less complications, effectively reducing the influence on immune function of patients with colorectal cancer and improving their physical and mental health.
