Abstract: Objective To observe the short-term effect of laparoscopic radical operation for colorectal cancer. Methods Thirty-six patients with colorectal cancer undergoing laparoscopic radical surgery from January 2016 to January 2019 were selected as laparoscopic group, and 22 patients with colorectal cancer undergoing open radical surgery at the same time were selected as laparotomy control group. The short-term therapeutic effects between the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results Longer operation time, less intraoperative blood loss, shorter postoperative first exhaust time, and shorter feeding time in the laparoscopic group were observed than those in the laparotomy group (P<0.05). No differences in the number of lymph node dissection and the length of distal end of tumor between the two groups were observed. The levels of serum IL-6 and IL-8 in the laparotomy group was significantly higher than those in the laparoscopic group. Conclusion Laparoscopic radical operation is as effective as laparotomy, but less invasive and safer for colorectal cancer.
