Abstract: Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of electronic flexible ureteroscope holmium laser lithotripsy in the treatment of kidney stones. Methods From January 2016 to June 2019, a total of 170 cases of kidney stones were randomly divided into a control group and a research group, with 85 cases in each group. The control group received percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, while the research group received electronic flexible ureteroscope holmium laser lithotripsy. Comparisons were made in the curative effect between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the research group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, time of off-bed, hospital stay, stone clearance rate 3 months after operation, complication rate, and one-year recurrence rate in the research group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Electronic flexible ureteroscope holmium laser lithotripsy has the advantages of short operation time, less bleeding, fewer complications, quick recovery, low recurrence rate, and significant curative effect, which make it of a high application value in the treatment of kidney stones.
