Abstract: Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of capecitabine combined with oxaliplatin in treating elderly patients with gastric cancer. Methods: 120 elderly patients with gastric cancer in our hospital from October 2014 to October 2015 were selected. They were divided into control group (n=60, given 5-fluorouracil combined with oxaliplatin) and observation group (n=60, given capecitabine combined with oxaliplatin). Results: Total efficiency of observation group (n=54, 90.00%) was obviously higher than control group (n=39,65.00%). Compared the abnormal liver function, nausea and vomiting, leukopenia, abnormal sensory nerve, thrombocytopenia and buccal cell of the two groups. Incidence of complications of observation group was obviously lower than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Capecitabine combined with oxaliplatin in treating elderly patients with gastric cancer has better clinical effect, the incidence of complications is lower and is worthy of clinic application.
