    Abstract139)      PDF(pc) (1257KB)(1610)
[Abstract] Objective To enhance the application value of CT in diagnosis of acute appendicitis. Methods CT findings of 87 cases with acute appendicitis confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were 87 cases of acute appendicitis,45 cases of simple appendicitis,28 cases of suppurative appendicitis,7 cases of gangrenous appendicitis,7 cases of appendiceal abscess. CT findings of 5 cases of simple appendicitis were negative. CT showed swelling of the appendix, edema of the appendix wall and the abscess of the appendix. Conclusion CT imaging is of great value in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis.

    Abstract372)      PDF(pc) (1203KB)(879)
Rotator cuff tear is a common shoulder disease, especially among athletes and middle-aged and elderly individuals. With the accelerating trend of aging population, the number of patients with rotator cuff tears is increasing. For massive rotator cuff tears, there is a high risk of re-tear after surgery and poor prognosis, which poses a significant clinical challenge. In recent years, surgical techniques for massive rotator cuff tears have continued to innovate, including superior capsule reconstruction, subacromial balloon spacer implantation, tendon transfer, and reverse shoulder arthroplasty. This article summarized the biomechanical effects of massive rotator cuff tears on the shoulder joint and focused on the latest treatment advancements, aiming to provide new reference for clinical treatment.

In recent years the application of thermal ablation (TA) in the treatment of benign and malignant thyroid tumors has drawn wide attention. Many studies have shown that compared with traditional surgery, TA is a minimally invasive and cosmetic surgery. In particular, the safety and effectiveness of TA in the treatment of benign thyroid tumors have been generally proven, but are still controversial in the treatment of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma. This article reviewed related literature, and focused on the principles of different thermal ablation techniques, indications and contraindications for the treatment of benign and malignant thyroid tumors, the safety and effectiveness of TA, and the advantages and disadvantages of TA compared with traditional surgery.

    Abstract226)      PDF(pc) (678KB)(1075)
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common bone and joint disease. At present, it is considered no longer just a degenerative disease, but a systemic, metabolic, and inflammatory disease. OA is the main cause of disability of the elderly and one of the sources of social costs. Many new technologies and materials are under preclinical development to address this multifactorial disease. In terms of diagnosis, nano contrast agents for MRI, CT, and PA provide a lot of qualitative and quantitative information about cartilage structure and lesions, which are known biomarkers of OA. The opportunities for the development of nano medicine and the prospects of imaging and diagnosis based on nanotechnology are extremely broad.

Progress of the wrist nursing in patients undergoing coronary intervention from the transradial approach
    Surgical Research and New Technique    2017, 6 (1): 65-69.
    Abstract139)      PDF(pc) (1145KB)(966)
Radial artery access for coronary angiography and interventions has the advantages of minor invasion, less hemostasis time, improved patient comfort and shorter recovery time, which has been widely adopted in clinical practice. But due to the interventional puncture damage caused by the small size and the various anatomic variants of the radial artery, artery associated complication incidence rate is very high. The purpose of this article is to review the current status and progress of wrist nursing in patients undergoing coronary intervention from the transradial approach.

The preliminary study of apoptosis and calcium metabolism in human colorectal cancer cells HCT 8 treated with Bufalin
    Surgical Research and New Technique    2016, 5 (4): 225-228.
    Abstract332)      PDF(pc) (2267KB)(2181)
Objective:To study the influence and mechanism of bufalin on apoptosis and calcium metabolism in human colorectal cancer cell HCT 8. Methods:We used the method of CCK-8 to detect the proliferation of HCT 8 treated with bufalin of different concentrations at 24 hours or the same one at different time. And then , the apoptosis of the cell with different concentrations was detected by Annexin V / PI double staining apoptosis kit. Finally, we investigated the effect of different concentrations of bufalin on intracellular Ca2 + by using Ca2+ fluorescence probe Fluo-3 AM to mark its intracellular Ca2+. Results:The inhibition of human colorectal cancer cell HCT 8 with bufalin showed dose and time dependent manner obviously by the method of CCK-8. The result of apoptosis with flow cytometry illustrated that bufalin can induce apoptosis in the cell HCT 8, and represented a dose-dependent manner. According to the results of the intracellular Ca2+ labeled by calcium fluorescent probe calcium, there was a higher concentration of intracellular calcium when the cell treated at a higher concentration of bufalin. Conclusion:Bufalin can induce apoptosis in the cell of HCT 8, and it may be related to the metabolism of intracellular Ca2+.
